Are You a Pilot?
Own your own airplane and looking for a place to fly on Saturday or Sunday? Because we are located at the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport the Museum is a great fly-in destination.
When you land, taxi to the Wilson Air FBO and ask them to take you in the shuttle bus to Museum. It is only about a 5 minute car ride to our site. (It is a bit too far to walk so please ask the FBO for a ride in the shuttle bus).
Unfortunately, due to security requirements, we cannot open the gate and offer you aircraft parking on the Museum's ramp.
Note: If you will be transiting North Carolina in a particularly historic aircraft, and would like to put it on display to the public for a few days at the Museum, please contact us to make arrangements.
Please click here to see a pdf airport diagram of the airport. The Museum is located in the upper left corner of the airport, at the intersection of runways 18L/36R and 23/5. (On the diagram we are located where the "Field Elevation 749" text box is located.
